on 12/3/2006 I've been throwing a Christmas Caroling Party every year since 1990. Instead of knocking yourself out with serving food ask your guests to bring along a favorite holiday treat and you can provide the tasty beverages.

on 11/22/2005 I think it's nice to go to the local nursing homes or high rises. The elderly enjoy it, you stay warm and if you let them know ahead of time you're coming, they make you really good baked goods and hot cocoa.

on 11/22/2005 I have my own Holiday Trumpet Quartet. And we go around the neighborhood and play Christmas Carols with our trumpets and we also play at charity events.

on 11/22/2005 We get a very long flat-bed trailer filled with hay, pulled by a tractor, kind of like a hay ride, for our caroling.

on 11/22/2005 To involve the children, feed the birds and decorate the trees outside. Make a garland: string cranberries, oranges, apples, raisins, and apricots, and attach it to a tree.

on 11/22/2005 We live in Hawaii, a warm climate. We try to add to the atmosphere by wearing scarves, mittens and hats with our shorts. Adds a bit of spirit and nostalgia to many of us who grew up in a colder climate.
