on 11/22/2005 Get dressed up in coveralls and a mask and sit in the lawn chair on the front porch. When the kids come up to the door, move your hand or leg or stand up. Play a Halloween sound track. (Do not do this for young children! But it's fun for older ones.)

on 11/22/2005 Make tombstones from scrap wood
and place them on the lawn. Write funny or scary sayings on them.

on 11/22/2005 At night, hang long strands of thread over the walkway or porch to your door. When kids walk through, they will have the illusion of actual spider webs swiping across their faces.

on 11/22/2005 Build a coffin and then have someone lay in it. When the kids come up (first have the "dead" person peek out to make sure that they are a little older), pop out and scare them. As kids we used to love that.

on 11/22/2005 Play one of those great pretaped
sound tracks of spooky music and dress up yourself! When you answer the door the atmosphere inside the door will complete the efforts you made on the outside! BOOO!
