on 8/8/2006 Don't run alongside your player, that's just like giving them an easy pathway to the basket! Get in front and use an arm bar if you need to, it's not against the rules to do so.

on 6/30/2006 Make sure you jump up and thrust the ball at the rim, but not that hard, it could bounce off. This is also known as a jumper.

on 2/16/2006 Be sure that you know all the positions, because your coach may put you in a different position each time. If you don't know the different positions you will be clueless.

on 11/22/2005 Start off with your positions tallest man going in for the jump and tipping it off to the point. He then passes to either of the pivots and they pass it to whoever is playing corner. They can go in for the layup, they can shoot, or they can pass to the point and he can shoot it for two.

on 11/22/2005 You can play any position, and you should learn all positions and their roles. Just because you're really short does not mean that you do not have to learn what the center does. For example, Dwayne Wade and Shaq O'Neal are excellent partners. They work together, and if Dwayne Wade was clueless, he would not be as great as he is.

on 11/22/2005 Actually, he usually played point guard - as evidenced by his assist total, second-highest in league history.

He *was* able to play nearly any position - center during the NBA Finals when Kareem Abdul-Jabar was injured.

Perhaps a better example of off-guard would be Michael Jordan? Although he is now playing as small forward for the Washington Wizards...

Well, Kobe Bryant's a shooting guard, and he's pretty well-known.
