on 11/22/2005 just buy a small bottle of medicinal alcohol, and 4 or 5 cigarrettes. Take the tobacco leaves of the cigarretes and put it in the bottle of alcohol and shake. I used it when i went to the beach a few weeks ago, and i didnt get stung. It works very good, but it's best if you let it alone for a few days. Try it.

on 11/22/2005 Add a few drops of cinnamon oil to your sunscreen, shake, and apply. Now, it doubles as sunscreen and insect repellent. My recipe is not exact, so use more oil if you have a larger bottle of sunscreen, and less if you have a smaller bottle. It should smell faintly of cinnamon, but not too much. Be careful. Pure cinnamon oil burns the skin, so add the drops cautiously.

on 11/22/2005 Our family has been using Vicks Vaporub. Dab it directly on the bite and, not only does the itching stop, but the welt is gone as well.

on 11/22/2005 When we were visiting Maine, I was given the following recipe. Combine the following ingredients in a spray bottle:
1 cup witch hazel, 1 cup cider vinegar, and 3 T citronella oil (or use part of a Citrosa or other plant that repels insects).

on 11/22/2005 Apply vanilla extract directly to the skin at several points. It smells nice and won't cause illness! Works for me!!
