Return to article: How to Make Glycerin Soap
on 7/15/2008 It is much better to let the soap sit in the mold until it is thoroughly cool before trying to remove it. This may take an hour or more. Putting the molds in the fridge or freezer can cause the glycerin to form oily bubbles on the surface, ruining the looks of your bar of soap. This is referred to as sweating among soapers.
on 11/22/2005 Before pouring soap into molds, spray the mold with rubbing alcohol. (Put a spray attachment on the bottle.) It will prevent surface bubbles from forming on your soap and will make it look more professional!
