on 9/12/2007 I am sorry for submitting that twice but do you see the questions that I posted here, why don't you get the APA or anyone else to give you exact answers to them and then cite the sources and this must not be just research or theories, but exact valid and reliable scientific facts other wise they are meaningless and as the editor of this site you should care about stuff like this, do you, I hope so.

on 9/12/2007 Since you are the editor of this site why don't you get the specific answers to these questions and cite your sources:

1. Evidence That Clearly Establishes the validity of "schizophrenia", "depression", or any other "major mental Illnesses" as a biological brain disease.

2. Evidence For A Physical Diagnostic Exam such as a scan or test of the brain, blood, urine, genes, etc that can reliably distinguish individuals with these diagnoses (prior to treatment with psychiatric drugs), from individuals without these diagnoses.

3. Evidence For a Base-line Standard of a chemically balanced "normal" personality, against which a chemical "imbalance" can be measured and corrected by pharmaceutical means.

4. Evidence Any Psychotropic Drug can correct a "chemical imbalance" attributed to a psychiatric diagnoses, and is any more than a non-specific alterer of physiology

on 4/18/2007 Get yourself some Silly Putty or any other small toy that reminds you of the simpler times of your childhood. I prefer the Silly Putty because I can squeeze it, shape it, or even bounce it on my desk depending on my mood.

on 3/13/2006 Try to play music that you relate to you favorite time of the year. That way no matter what time of year it is, or who stressed you might be you can imagine that time that makes you happiest.

on 4/18/2007 I made a clear label that simply says, "Now." I placed it in the upper right-hand corner of my computer monitor screen. When I close a program, I see it. It reminds me that now is a good time to take a deep breath, now is a good time to thank God I'm alive, or now is a good time to (fill in the blank). You get the idea! If you don't work with a computer, no problem! You could apply it to your phone, or a clock, or anything else that you look at frequently. I'm planning to put one on the rear-view mirror in my car, too.

on 11/22/2005 I place a picture, saying, or even a word or poem (something I've made up that only I know what it means) near my computer at work. When the outbreak of stress occurs, I just have to give a quick glance at the picture or word and it instantly makes me smile and feel better. It might be because only I know what the word means or the letters stand for and it is my own private euphoria!

on 11/22/2005 Inhale for a count of two, ie; one-one thousand two-two thousand, through the nostrils then, exhale slowly through the mouth for a count of four.

on 11/22/2005 Go outside and get some fresh air. I always take a walk around my work place. If you can't go outside, walk around and talk to your co-workers, make some jokes.

on 4/18/2007 Slow down your thinking until it is even and calm. Emotions are big catalysts of stress. Force yourself to slow all your body movements - from turning your head to lifting a piece of paper. Everything you do can be meditative if you let it.
