on 10/6/2006 This has some outdated information in it. Explorers no longer exists, it was moved into 2 programs Venturing and Learning for Life. Both programs are coed and for youth 14-20. Cub Scouts now starts in First Grade and goes through Fifth Grade. It changed from being age based to being grade based. on 9/18/2006 Remember that a scout troop is like a pair of hiking boots; If the boots are comfortable, your son will hike a long time and enjoy it. If they pinch and are uncomfortable, he won't stay with it. If your son's troop isn't a comfortable fit for him... find another!
