on 10/13/2008 Help! I have a neighbor I believe is starving a goat. She says they don't need food provided...they eat from the ground (and garbage) etc. I think she is full of it! This poor goat is hurting himself by reaching through fencing to get at the other neighbors trees to eat at the bark. I don't believe she even wants to bother with it. She also says he does not need water because it rains enough here. (Vancouver, WA) I am willinmg to take the goat, as it is very freindly, and build the proper fencing and shelter for him. If not, I told her I would call animal services to have it removed. The other neighbors are on my side and will witness to the facts. But I can no longer listen to this poor thing starve alone in a trash filled yard. He bleets constantly! She really belives you don't need trash service if you have a goat because they live on garbage!!!! Please let me know.. am I

on 11/22/2005 Feed your goats wet beat pulp. It swells up to twice its volume and it gives your goats more water and fiber. Ask your local feed store for it.

on 11/22/2005 Make sure your goats are getting a 2:1 calcium to phosphorous ratio in their diet. An imbalance will cause urinary stones, which, if not treated immediately, could lead to death.
