We are new to milk goats. When we first began the milk was great and now it has an aweful flavor and smell. A neighboring pen has males but they are all wethered. Does that matter or is it just males, period? We are tired of milking in vain. Help, we miss our tasty goat milk!

Call your local animal abuse hotline! Or offer to buy the poor goat! Or the SPCA. Contact A goat rescuer in your area. Call the police. If you call the wrong people it could end up in a bad rescue or killed. I just rescued my neighbors goat from them. A preg older female with signs of abuse and has been over breed without proper care for yrs very sad. I went over to their house and said she been at my house for 10 days give her to me or tell me what you want for her or I would make his life miserble. He said $60.00 I need some money! I paid for her and now two weeks later she looks better is more trusting and very sweet and today gave birth to two kids a boy and a girl thank god healthy and doing good so far. Take action now please for the animal. One of god's creatures. Give a gift of a secure life for this one animal. God Bless...Hope

Brenda1776, report the animal abuse to the authorities TODAY. Goats need proper nourishment and clean water daily to be healthy. They cannot live well off of garbage and rain water. This poor animal cannot speak for himself so you must speak up for him. Good luck. I hope she gives him to you. I have three dwarf Nigerian goats and they are worth the effort of taking good care of them.

Help! I have a neighbor I believe is starving a goat. She says they don't need food provided...they eat from the ground (and garbage) etc. I think she is full of it! This poor goat is hurting himself by reaching through fencing to get at the other neighbors trees to eat at the bark. I don't believe she even wants to bother with it. She also says he does not need water because it rains enough here. (Vancouver, WA) I am willinmg to take the goat, as it is very freindly, and build the proper fencing and shelter for him. If not, I told her I would call animal services to have it removed. The other neighbors are on my side and will witness to the facts. But I can no longer listen to this poor thing starve alone in a trash filled yard. He bleets constantly! She really belives you don't need trash service if you have a goat because they live on garbage!!!! Please let me know.. am I

Feed your goats wet beat pulp. It swells up to twice its volume and it gives your goats more water and fiber. Ask your local feed store for it.
