on 10/11/2008 This is a bad time to take out credit. There is no real money involved in the credit scam. The only way banks make money is if you take out credit. And, if you pay the minimum you will pay 2 to 3 times the amount you purchased on the credit account. Better to get a card with no fees, if possible, charge it once a year and immediately pay off the balance. This will keep you out of debt and improve your credit score. Don''t get a card if you can't afford to purchase an item with cash. Otherwise, you'll be a slave to the credit game. Just say no!

on 6/27/2008 The above is a scam site! Don't fall for the credit card offers. If you look at the fine print you end up paying the card company way way way more then you need to. I would first try to get a card with you bank like I did. My credit has nothing but three negative accounts and my bank gave me a card and I have paid it ontime. Also, go to annualcreditreport.com to get an absolutely FREE report and you dont have to sign up for anything! Good Luck!

on 5/9/2008 There are banks that will give you a chance with a credit card. Your limits might be low but you'll get a credit card and depending on how you manage your payments, your credit will increase and you'll be eligible for a better credit card and loans. There are few good credit cards listed here http://www.FastNEasyCards.com so check it out and see if you qualify for any of them. You can apply online and find out instantly. Good luck!

on 2/5/2008 I had heard that if you're under 18 you can't get a credit card. My question is this, if I were under 18 when I got a credit card is there any way to get that debt taken off my credit...even if the balance was never paid off? The card was a $300 or $500 (don't recall) and has ballooned to $1700 (not sure how). The card was recieved back in 2000. [If it's not possible to get the debt stricken from my credit records is there any way to negotiate the balance down to the original credit limit of $300 or $500?] Thank you for your time.

on 9/21/2007 DO NOT CLOSE older accounts. Cut up the card, sure, but leave the account open. Older accounts increase your score and their available credit lowers your debt-to-credit ratio, which is a huge scoring factor. Don't listen to people that say to close accounts, even if you're consolidating!!!

on 5/3/2007 I have bad credit, 2 accounts that says charge-off. I would like to pay these accounts off but people are telling me that it will reactivate those accounts by saying "paid/charge off" or deliquent and take 7 yrs to fall off me my credit report, thus making my credit worse. Does anyone know the solution to this?
Thanks!

on 4/24/2007 In my judgment secured credit card is much better if you have bad credit. Why? unsecured credit cards for bad score don't allow high credit limit (it's about 350$) but provide enormous high fees. And all that fees are cut from your credit limit. I don't think that it's resonable to loose money for it. Secured credit cards provide lower fees and can help you build good credit history.

on 7/18/2007 I'm a business owner trying to rebuild my credit by using my credit cards. How can I can take the balance of a discover card thats in the hands of an attorney?
I willingly to negotiate by transfering the debt of just 1.5K to another discover card which is used to rebuild credit.
