on 5/2/2007 I recommend RentMarketer.com. They post your property on over 50 different rental sites. I received more leads for my property than any other service I used including the paper.

on 2/28/2006 We advertised online through a local weekly in our city (the paper that includes local entertainment, current events, etc.). Although they charge for print ads, the online ads are free.

on 11/22/2005 There are a few websites out there that cost around $20 to advertise on. I use www.rentersinc.com, they get a lot of traffic and don't cost very much. I like these guys the best because they have packages for properties, with occasional vacancies as well as properties with on going vacancies. I happen to manage both, so it works great for me.

on 11/22/2005 Depending on where your apartment is located, you could use craigslist to list it for free. Your listing description can be fairly lengthy (if you desire), and you can include photos. It's also a helpful way to see how your unit compares to others in the area in terms of rent, amenities, etc.
