on 8/8/2009 This costume/outfit really only works if you're trying to emulate a high school student.

Other popular styles in the fifties included pencil skirts and bright red lipstick.

on 2/25/2006 If you have a locket, find a picture or two off the Internet of Elvis, put them in the locket and wear it around your neck.

on 11/22/2005 I would suggest wearing pink lipstick, and make your eyes the focus. You put a thick line of black kohl eyeliner on your top lid only and make sure it has the little cat eye thing at the end. [Think Marilyn Monroe]. False eyelashes are great too. For the bottom part of your eye I would use eyeliner and then smudge it to make it smokey. =)

on 11/22/2005 The double sock was popular in the 50's. Pink and white is a nice combination, or whatever colors that would match your outfit. The "Bob" was also trendy, as well as button-down cardigans.

on 11/22/2005 If you can get a hold of saddle shoes, they really can help make the outfit work.

on 11/22/2005 Wear your husband's old letter jacket and put his class ring on a necklace to wear around your neck. Also, carry a hula hoop with you.

on 11/22/2005 Poodle skirts are easy to make and fairly inexpensive; you can find the pattern and material at any fabric store. Also, try a white oxford shirt with a kerchief tied to the side around your neck.

on 1/15/2008 To create a fluffy skirt, make the skirt bigger than your waist and pin it together with a big pin. It'll make you want to dance!
