on 11/22/2005 Make wire structure that braces itself against your back and sticks wires straight out at an upward angle- the top edges of the wings. Cut 2 pcs. of gauzy fabric in the shape of wings, make casing along the top, slide wire through casing. Wings hang free.

on 11/22/2005 For more ephemeral wings: bend coat hangers into the shape of butterfly wings, cover with colored tights, decorate as above. Use thick ribbon to make straps attached to the center, and wear like backpack.

on 11/22/2005 Shape wire coat hangers into desired shape and lay on top of sheer fabric. Trim fabric 1/2 inch larger than shape, then glue fabric over the hangers. Decorate with glitter or fabric paint; attach to fairy or angel using coordinating ribbon.
