on 11/22/2005 When it's your turn to bowl and the players on either side are up, it's generally a good idea to step back off the approach until both sides are clear. This applies to every ball you throw.

on 11/22/2005 Please ask the management if you may take pictures during open bowling or a bowling event. The flash from the camera can be VERY distracting to serious bowlers.

on 11/22/2005 Don't try to mess other people up or brag excessively, etc. You and your friends may be banned from the bowling alley.

on 11/22/2005 It's usually not a good idea to let other people use your bowling balls and/or shoes because the contour of your foot gets worn into the shoe and that helps you maintain your balance.

on 11/22/2005 Never bowl when someone is on either your right or your left. Usually, the person on the right has the right of way to bowl first. If you find yourself between two others, both of the others are to bowl before you do.

on 11/22/2005 If you are serious about working on or playing your game & if the neighboring bowlers nearby should get a little overexcited/loud, finish up your current game, then go request a another lane!

on 11/22/2005 When you bowl keep focused and don't bowl if there is another person next to you. Always remember to have fun when you bowl. Focus on the arrow that you are throwing to. Right-handed people stand on the right side and left-handed people on the left.

on 11/22/2005 This includes waxing your ball before you go bowling, and putting it in a bowling bag to insure that nothing happens to it.

on 11/22/2005 Bowl the ball with a straight hand right down the first arrow. For a curve, while you are bowling turn your hand 180 degrees, flick, turning your hand under and over.

on 11/22/2005 If you're wondering why the ball goes in the gutter or too far to the left/right, even though you're walking straight and releasing perfectly, you may just not be following through. Bring arms and swing completely back like a pendulum.

on 11/22/2005 Make sure the approaches are DRY and slippery. If it's sticky, call the front desk and tell them to clean the approach on the lane.
