on 11/2/2008 I'm a shade tree mechanic from my younger days with Muscle Cars and lite trucks as well.
But its been awhile. I'm Interested in Gaining ASC certification.

However, I'm Confused.

There seems to be Several Classes to gain certication
in that specific field. Are all classes needed for ASE certiccation.

Question: Can you get a ASE Certifcation by passing just one "Class", then gaining additional class
certifications as well.

Someone please give me some specific info on specific
classes needed for ASE certification.

I can certainly turn a wrench an most 60,70 and some 80's muscle cars.

Someone clue me in on the specific ASE class needed.

My main email is gda2323@yahoo.com

Please feel free to get me straight. There are so many Sites that Google gives - what is real, whats not.

Thanks for any Straight info you can give me.

Regards ,

Greg.

on 10/29/2007 by Brenda on 10/29/07 I have always worked in the Medical Field but have always dreamed of being an Auto Mechanic. I fear no sexism in this line of work that is mostly performed by the male gender but I am getting discouraged on how to set my goal on the right path. I know the basic auto repairs. I don't feel that I have the time to go back to school while working full time but know that I would enjoy & learn quicker with an Auto Mechanic who is willing to train.

on 6/11/2007 I'm not a mechanic, but a work ethic is important for anything you do. One of my favorite quotes is "No matter how insignificant the thing you have to do, do it as well as you can, give it as much care and attention as you would give the thing you regard as most important."-Gandhi

on 6/11/2007 While working, you may find it hard to concentrate. My Auto Mechanics teacher teaches me to think about someone I love while I'm working. He tells me to equally focus that love on my work. When you think about someone you love, you'll work safely and you will think about the customers safety. You will have patience as well as consistency also. I prefer to think about my girlfriend who is my heart an my best friend.

on 6/11/2007 As a female just getting started in the industry, I find it hard when I come upon sexism in looking for a job. Just remember, women, that experience is what counts, and a truly respectable service manager will overlook the "gender barrier" to see this!
