on 7/8/2007 The key: Watch videos of the ollie, because timing is an extremely important aspect of learning the ollie. I read hundreds of verbal tips and none gave me any hint as to the proper timing of critical moments. Let me give you one here just as an example. Your back leg and foot will be fully extended the moment the tail slaps the ground. When you begin to come up from your crouch at the beginning of the jump the tail of your board shoult not (I repeat) should not be moving downward. In fact, your legs will be about 3/4s the way fully extended before the tail should even begin to move downward. Now go watch some videos for yourself instead of waste your time here.

on 5/13/2007 1.Bend Down Half Way.
2.Put You Left Foot On The Tail.
3.Put Your Right Foot On The Middle Of The Board.
4.Let The Tail Hit The Ground.
5.Slide Your Right Foot Up The Board.
6.Land It!!
Trick Tip If It Don't Work Try It In The Grass.

on 5/13/2007 The First Thing How To Do An Ollie Is Put Your Left Foot At The Tail Of The Board Then Put Your Right Foot On The Middle Of The Board Then You Push Your Left Foot Where The Tail Is To The Ground And As Soon As It Hits The Ground You Slide Your Right Foot Up The Grip Tape Pulling Your Board In The Air Then Let It Land And If You Are Left Footed Then Do The Oppisite. Trust Me If It Worked For Me It Should Work For You Good Luck.

on 4/21/2007 i really can't do an ollie! i have practised for ages but i can't seem to get in the air - can anyone help me? i've tried everything i've read! x

on 4/15/2007 Hey, I just started doing this and i saw the thing about starting off in grass. I did but I wasn't able to actualy jump. The Nose of the board goes up then down and I land on my feet well too but there isn't a jump. However, this does take place in the grass but is there suppose to be a jump? If so... what am I doing worng?
