on 11/22/2005 To ollie higher, you have to set your foot in the middle and the other on the tail. Crouch down but not so much and it helps if the foot on the tail is on tip toe.

on 11/22/2005 Bend your legs and almost sit on the board...But make sure you're comfortable and land on the bolts.

on 11/22/2005 Well, doing an ollie isn't that hard. I started three days ago. All I did was just follow the steps on this site (which was pretty easy thanks to the pictures). Just put your front foot half way on the board and the back foot on the tail. When you put down your back foot, jump quickly with your left and pull your legs up as high as you can.

on 11/22/2005 If you are a girl and skateboard, more power to you! Girls should be more aggressive. Be powerful! And if any low life boy tries to make fun of you 'cause you are a girl and skateboard, punch them ;-)

on 11/22/2005 Relax...Put your foot on the tail and the other just behind the front truck. Push down and lean forward.

on 11/22/2005 Okay, so you've got the board, and now you need to ollie. This is what you do.

1. Figure out what kind of stance you've got.
2. Place your front foot in the middle of the board and your back foot on the tail.
3. Now, just relax and hit the tail down and try to slide your front foot up the board. A lot of skaters think too much so they never learn it. So be stupid.
4. Go find some stairs and get to it.

on 11/22/2005 put your front foot just right behind the front bolt. it's easier to control the board this way but less high. my friend who use this method can ollie as high as his chest. 'practise makes perfect'.

on 11/22/2005 When I was first learning to ollie, I could never seem to get it rolling. So what I did was skate heading up a hill and wait for gravity to almost stop me then ollie and ride back down. This helped me to get used to the feeling of landing and rolling at the same time.

on 11/22/2005 start with your front foot far back, then when you kick the tail down try to get the board almost vertical, and jump high forward. It may not work for beginners, make sure your front foot keeps a grip on the board or it will slide up through your legs.

on 11/22/2005 Put your front foot in the middle of your board in between a 90 and 45 degree angle. Your back foot should be on the very tip of your tail with all the pressure on the ball of your foot. Pop down on the tail and as you start to do it slide your front foot

on 11/22/2005 You want to squat down so your hand is almost touching the ground. Your front foot should be a foot from your back foot when you go down. When you're down, put all your weight on front foot, bend your back knee so it is basically touching your front knee.

on 11/22/2005 I've found that when you're learning to ollie, it helps to lean forward a little as you jump. Also, don't crouch down too low before you jump.
