This happened to me! This company outsources to India...I called the customer service when my bank notified me of two transactions totalling approx $150.00. This company sent the shipment after the 14 days and then they charged me even though I never received the items until after the 14 days. I told them to refund my money and they refused. How can I try a product free and take advantage of the trial when they neglect to ship until the trial period is over? Total scam and luckily my bank covered the funds. I was sure to mail back the boxes with the pills inside. I wrote: RETURN TO SENDER, WRONG ADDRESS. Do not fall for this scam...it's horrible!

I too, got scammed, but my credit card company would do nothing. I told them I did not authorize the charge. 87.13. so don't use Sears MasterCard, or Citibank Master Card. They don't do crap to help you. So it did me no good to cancel my card.

acaiberrydetox.com AND Colon Cleanse 3000 SCAM
My call to stop additional orders or any initial charges for this "FREE Trial- just 99 cents for s/h" within the 14 days of ordering was not sufficient because I was charged $39.95 the very next day after the order - unbeknownst to me. I called within the 14 days of ordering to cancel any additional bottles. I called on 9/04, was assured that no further charges would be made to my account yet was charged that very day $83.95! So back to the phone to "wait 10 minutes because of an unusual volume of calls" to get my money back. I was refunded 2 days later.
Get a confirmation e-mail or number because you WILL be calling them back about an additional problem. Hollywood, FL 866-736-1040 or get the number from your bank statement.
Be sure that if you ordered the Colon Cleanse with it, you will need to call to cancel that as well. Risk Fre...

I too have fallen for this one, however I canceled my card before the payments cleared, I was charged for a second time, the duplicate charges fell off my account without posting, the account is drawn down and they no longer have access to my money. I'm so glad I used my checking account instead of a credit card so I could watch it more closely. Today I received two calls from them. they state that they have "lost the order, how can I get you the acai berry today?" I stated "is that right? the payment cleared yesterday", they asked when did you place the order? When I stated last Friday the operator then stated "well then you will be receiving it" then he just hung up on me. Later I received another call stating "your order was missing the zip code we need to reorder this for you". I replied "the payment cleared yesterday so just ship it" the operator hung up on me again. The w...

CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD!!! It is much easier to cancel your card and get issued a new one than having to fight to stop those auto billings. I only got hit with the $5.95 S/H. on my card...then cancelled it before they had a chance to get me again. I also sent their package back unopened with "REFUSED" on it! Never heard anymore from them.
on 6/26/2009
AcaiThin is also a SCAM posted on Craigslist about a weightloss study. This is crap, I found out afterwards and then canceled my credit card to be safe. I figure the charge will be fraudulent if they tried charging me.

BUYER BEWARE,Both the Acai Advanced and Nature Cleanse are complete and total scams!! They do not let you know until you receive the product that you actually are enrolled in an automatic shipment program and you only have 14 days to cancel. That 14 days starts from the time the order is placed! Not when you recieve the product. By the time I recieved the product my 14 day trial time was up and I had already been charged by Pure Nutrients and Acai Advanced. They would not refund!! I will admit that I was looking for an easy solution and they totally capitalize on that and scam you all the way to the bank!I took both products with NO RESULTS from either product, that was following a low fat diet and walking 3 miles each day. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
on 5/8/2009
Wow, I didn't realize these were scams (I figured it wasn't a magic weight loss bullet, but the payment bit was news to me)! Also, acai berry juice is DELICIOUS; I don't understand why people would want to take it in pill form in the first place!
on 3/5/2009
WWW.NAUTRES-ACAI.COM is one of them too they got me, but shipped the trial before they billed my card 87.00, when I tried to call the number on the site, they said they couldn't find it my account, then when I got upset they said they don't handle aci and gave me a number, then another number when that one didn't work, then another number, until I called the number on my bankstatement, which by the way always says our systems are down. So I had to contact the bank and put a stop payment on it for the next 6mos. The lady at the bank said she has taken several of these calls for this product.Beware

on 11/21/2009 I was about to write an article such as yours after being bombarded with acai berry ads. I took one
look at the preposterous claims, to wit, large fat loss, large muscle gain and getting ripped in a
truly unbelievable short amount of time. Those types of claims are as believable as, I took acai
berry mix for 7 weeks, and now I can fly like Superman, have X-ray vision and am ripped to boot.
There is one and only one truly proven method of obtaining a healthy and fit body: proper diet and
exercise. Acai berries and other supplements can help, but they are only one component of a total
program.
Thanks for writing a great article. I can now save my time and not reinvent the wheel. Rather, I'll
simply point people to your article.
