on 6/8/2007 I always pack two thermos if it's a very long match...One water bottle is frozen solid and another is filled with cold water. By the time I'm well into the match (in warm weather) the frozen bottle is ready to drink and really refreshing.

I also always pack a piece of fruit or something in case of low blood sugar.

on 11/22/2005 It's been established scientifically that Gatorade used at half strength is just as effective as using it full strength. Make your own half strength cooler to take to a match. It's a lot cheaper, and it helps prevent muscle cramps.

on 11/22/2005 For those playing in cold weather bring a sweatshirt and sweatpants or windpants in case it gets cold. Also pack along gloves; cold hands make it hard to serve and even harder to hold a racket.
