on 6/30/2006 Ever seen a thin elephant? They eat mostly grass, and they're always fat. There isn't such a thing as fattening foods. It's the quantity that we eat what fatten us and keep us fat.

Nobody can be fat with thin-person eating habits and no one can be thin with fat-person eating style. Find your portions!

on 4/19/2008 Drink as much water as you can. At least 6-8 eight ounce glasses (this will fill you up.) Substitute fruit or veggies for junk-food cravings, and make a point to add in more exercise each day. Walking up stairs instead of elevators, park further from store entrances etc. And don't eat 3 hours before bedtime! Make the decision to lose weight, and don't give up. Choose to lead a healthier life and weight loss will happen for you.

on 6/30/2006 Eat off of a saucer instead of a large dinner plate. This will help your portion sizes and still appear to be a full plate.

on 4/19/2008 Many people will tell you that water is the best way to go. The moment you wake up, drink up a whole bottle of water before eating or getting dressed or brushing your teeth.

on 3/28/2006 Drinking a lot of water and running is a great thing to do, don't just drink water it at the gym. Drink it at meals! Sacrifice and discipline is the key to losing weight. If you don't have that, you won't make it for very long.

on 3/23/2006 Do a few sit ups and crunches every morning and night. Do two wall sits for at least one minute. Space the wall sits out. Do some jump roping or jogging every morning, and then take a shower to help you feel refreshed. Maybe go to the gym once a week for a work out or go swimming.

on 3/23/2006 Exercise is the key to losing weight. In order to effectively lose weight you need at least 45-60 minutes/day of cardio. Also-cut out half your daily carbs and watch the pounds melt away!

on 3/23/2006 One of the hardest things to do is lose fat over a set period of time. I decided to try something new. I didn't set a time period, and it worked. I worked out 3 times a week (cardio) and ate only when my stomach actually needed food (which was around every 4-5 hours), and within a week I lost 10 pounds and I'm still going. Believe me, this works great!

on 3/21/2006 Water is definitely great in so many ways. Green tea is also energy boosting, and a caffeine lift can be done by tea, or a glass of diet soda. Caffeine can actually be good, a little bit in a day (especially when you're busy) because it does make your heart beat a little faster, so you burn a few calories. But one of the best tips ever is: have a "fat" day. Each week, watch your calorie intake, and eat nutritious carbs, exercise at least a little bit each day. Carmen Electra's aerobic striptease collection works wonders. Especially if you're really busy. But, pick one day each week where you will eat whatever you want. It will not feel like cheating, and it's something to work for. I also noticed, keeping an outfit, bathing suit, etc. around and hanging up is great motivation! So get off the scale and get moving!!

on 6/11/2007 I used to have a 1 hour aerobic class, most of the days, but I never tried to lessen my quantity of food I was consuming. Instead it was increasing, mostly carbs, such as white flour which would provide me energy.
Exercise and diet control are both important.

on 3/15/2006 Get a calorie chart - your GP will give you one for free if you can't find one anywhere else.
Pick all the foods you love that are less are 100 calories per 100g.
Be honest, don't include foods you should like unless your list is very unbalanced (e.g no fruit or vegetables). Go and buy loads of those favorite things. If anyone tuts at you, tell them to get used to it.
Just eat those things, most of the time. Yum.

on 3/13/2006 I was told that a military college in my state requires their students to chew only four times before they swallow. I tried doing this, and you have to take very small bites! However, you end up eating less because it takes so much longer to eat your meal, plus you get full off of less food!
