on 8/8/2006 Always have a bottle of water nearby so you can always say that you are keeping up with your diet. Drinking water helps you fill-up faster and keeps you from eating too much. Drink water before, during and after all your meals. Wake up and have a glass of water and drink water before you go to bed. You must stop drinking sodas. Before you know it, you will be choosing water all the time as your favorite drink and notice your body feeling and looking a whole lot better.

on 8/8/2006 For a real boost to your weight loss efforts, carve out another 30 minutes of your day for a second workout. This workout will probably not be as intense as your regular workout, but will show great results over time.

on 8/8/2006 Low carb dieting can result in fast weight loss for a while, but leaves no energy for workouts. Eat healthy carbs (fruit, bran, whole grains) for breakfast, snacks, and lunch earlier in the day so that you have fuel for a good workout. After the workout, try limiting carbs and eating more lean protein. Since most people have trouble with snacking in the evening, cutting carbs during this time tends to help cut out the snacking.

on 2/12/2007 Eat lots of apples; high in vitamin c, fibers, water, and energy to keep you going. You actually burn more calories when you eat apples because they have high acidity and it burns up the calories. I usually drink water after eating apples. It fulls me up for at least an hour! Good escape when you're hungry at night, too.

on 4/19/2008 I've always been quite thin, but I wanted to start putting on muscle and lose the layer of fat on top of my abs. I needed to loose fat and build muscle, the best thing I found is drinking at least 2 liters (about 4 pints) of water a day. But, drink it icy cold. Research has shown that drinking 500ml of ice cold water will increase your metabolism by 30% for up to an hour. I use an empty 1 liter milk bottle, fill it up with water and stick in the freezer for an hour or so. Another thing, eat what you want in the morning, carbs, etc, because you will burn them off. Then avoid carbs for lunch and dinner. Snack on nuts and dried fruit if you are getting cravings, but when you do crave something, have a glass of water first, because something like 80% of thirst is mistaken for hunger, oh, and never give up.

on 7/19/2006 I get a 15 minute break in the morning and one in the afternoon. I walk around the building instead of going to the break room. Also, deliver messages to co-workers instead of e-mailing them.

on 6/11/2007 Ive modeled for a few years now, and learned every diet trick in the book. What works best for me is cleansing - by going on a juice diet for a few days you will lose weight, improve your complexion and increase your energy!

Here’s my favorite cleansing juice recipe: Apple, celery, cucumber, ginger - just blend it all together and drink!

on 6/30/2006 Don't use (extra) sugar or salt ! And the fat free foods? They are loaded with sugar and sodium. Sugar = fat ! Period. Salt makes you swell out like a sponge. Have salt free, sugar free peanut butter on Wasa crackers for a snack, and plain yogurt jazzed up with herbs to top your spud. Read the labels! Keep it low in sugar and salt and you'll be alright.

on 6/30/2006 When you wake up in the morning, don't eat anything - drink water. You've been fasting all night, so there's no food in your stomach. Go out and start walking. Your body will have nothing to burn but fat, you are running on an empty tank. After walking, eat something healthy.

on 6/30/2006 I'm 5'2" and was 130 pounds. I noticed I had been gaining weight - I realized I had to change my daily routine. Since I have an office job where I sit all day, I was drinking coffee in the mornings (iced coffee with lots of sugar) and soda for lunch and dinner. Even though I don't eat much, I felt bloated all the time. I made a decision to quit drinking soda and coffee, and after 3 weeks with no soda or coffee, I'm down to 124 and I'm noticing my nails are growing stronger too! It was hard at first- I had dreams of tall glasses of soda with ice filled to the brim- but I try to keep a lot of options, like juices or iced tea, so I don't get tempted. And I'm drinking more water. Orange, cranberry, or grape juices are really good for waking up in the mornings. I drink everything ice cold with lots of ice to trick myself; everything tastes better with ice.

on 6/30/2006 Ever seen a thin elephant? They eat mostly grass, and they're always fat. There isn't such a thing as fattening foods. It's the quantity that we eat what fatten us and keep us fat.

Nobody can be fat with thin-person eating habits and no one can be thin with fat-person eating style. Find your portions!
