on 8/8/2006 All of my skinny friends eat tons of carbs, some meat, and a good amount of veggies and fruit. But they also eat like 20000 times more candy than I do. I guess this works. Just eat what is satisfying (and not what seems like it would taste good) until you are full.

on 8/8/2006 I lost 50 pounds in 5 1/2 months doing this 3-4 times a week. I will warn you, it's a little challenging to learn, but once you learn it - it's a blast.

on 8/8/2006 When you do drink water, make sure that it's cold. When you drink cold water, your body uses energy to warm it up to body temperature. You will loose 3 pounds a year without changing your diet.

on 8/8/2006 Do not combine bread or potatoes with meat or eggs. Eat them separately at different meals (4 hours apart).

on 8/8/2006 When you have a craving, just think, are you going to let that fattening food ruin your summer on the beach, in a bikini or shopping for nice clothes. This helps me.

on 8/8/2006 Don't eat meats, try beans or peanut butter. People put steroids in the meats to make them fatter, to sell better. Also, I read that diet sodas are actually more fattening than a regular soda.

on 8/8/2006 Wait for a while, and if the craving doesn't go away, have a piece of whatever you had a craving for without feeling guilty, and get right back on track. A treat from time to time can actually help your will power and takes away those cravings that make you binge in the end.

on 8/8/2006 The more non processed foods (less then 5 ingredients in it) and slow carbs you eat will effect your weight entirely. Slow carbs are carbs like potatoes, rice, grain, whole wheat bread, Oat meal (with no added sugar). The logic in slow carbs is that it slowly raises blood sugar instead of raising it fast like sugar carbs and the carbs from it don't turn into fat any where near sugar carbs (or simple carbs).
-If you find an ingredient called corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup, stay away from this as it turns into fat extremely fast, you'll find this is most foods, usually most breads.

Diet foods are the worst. Diet soda has a chemical in it that reduces all its carbs but actually makes you gain weight, and studies has shown it causes cancer (Splenda and aspartame). Drink only water or tea, and of course exercise 3 times a week of walking or running, and you'll loose more fat.

on 8/8/2006 Add one teaspoon of honey to one glass of warm water and drink it after you brush your teeth. Honey in warm water helps in burning fat.

on 8/8/2006 When it comes to eating healthy, don't just cut out the fatty things you like. If you do, you'll feel deprived and are more likely to binge on a bad day or when you're hungry. Instead, eat everything in moderation. Even take-out foods aren't bad if you eat them in moderation. Also, don't overdo the alcohol, it makes it more difficult to rid the body of fat as efficiently. Don't be afraid of building muscle either! A pound of muscle may weigh more than a pound of fat, but it covers less area, effectively making you look slimmer. I hope I've helped you all! And remember, we can do anything if we put our mind to it.

on 8/8/2006 It is one thing to diet, but if you actually workout while dieting, you are bound to see excellent results. I am a vegetarian, and regardless, I was still maintaining weight. When I decided to start loosing weight, I cut everything - soda, juice, chips, sugars. Anything that tasted good, I didn't eat it. I stuck to vegetables, and protein, and started drinking lots of water. I weighed about 250 when I started. I began working out with a friend. In the beginning, I couldn't even run 1 minute without stopping. I slowly got stronger doing basic cardio exercises and weight lifting.

I can now run over 30 minutes without Rest. Monday-Thursday and Saturday I'm in the gym running, then lifting. I am now at 216 pounds, and I got there in less than a month and a half. I have lost over 30 pounds and I feel good, too. I am working to build more muscle now that I have shaved down a lot of weight.

For great results, don't cheat. Wipe out the sugars, and the fatty foods, and you can loose weight in no time.

on 8/8/2006 Always have a bottle of water nearby so you can always say that you are keeping up with your diet. Drinking water helps you fill-up faster and keeps you from eating too much. Drink water before, during and after all your meals. Wake up and have a glass of water and drink water before you go to bed. You must stop drinking sodas. Before you know it, you will be choosing water all the time as your favorite drink and notice your body feeling and looking a whole lot better.

on 8/8/2006 For a real boost to your weight loss efforts, carve out another 30 minutes of your day for a second workout. This workout will probably not be as intense as your regular workout, but will show great results over time.

on 8/8/2006 Low carb dieting can result in fast weight loss for a while, but leaves no energy for workouts. Eat healthy carbs (fruit, bran, whole grains) for breakfast, snacks, and lunch earlier in the day so that you have fuel for a good workout. After the workout, try limiting carbs and eating more lean protein. Since most people have trouble with snacking in the evening, cutting carbs during this time tends to help cut out the snacking.
