on 10/2/2007 good!
on 6/30/2007 I need alot of help. I am 22 years old and weigh 280 lbs. I have a one year old daughter, and I weight more than when I was pregnant with her. My husband says he'll leave if I get any fatter, but I can't seem to stick to any diet. I am getting desperate, can I please get help before I get fatter!
on 6/26/2007 Cut back on the carbs and eat vegetables, whole wheat bread, and oatmeal.
on 6/24/2007 I have tried many, many diets and have been successful with some like Weight Watchers or South Beach for a considerable period of time. But, I always managed to take a back slide. The older I get, the tougher it became. Menopause, blood clots, changes in medication, they all take a toll. I finally discovered what works best for me is following the basics of a diabetic diet. Watch the carbs and eat by the FDA guidelines. Base your caloric intake on your current weight and the amount that you want to lose. I found that converting to the soy and vegan products over meat and eating fish makes a huge difference as well. Watch the carbs per serving and you'd be amazed at the difference. My exercise has reduced and my weight loss has increased. It's amazing. Google for the FDA diabetic guidelines. Lilly has a great site for diabetic guidelines as well.

on 4/19/2007 My routine is not very complicated at all. I haven't put in the advanced planning that alot of other people have, but I've gotten good results. All do I do is get on a stairmaster for 30 minutes every single day. (Some weeks I take 1 week day). I bought low fat cheese and milk, but didn't cut it out of my diet. And I also cut beer and all soft drinks out of my diet gradually ie. I drank 3 diet drinks a week, then 2 etc. until they were all gone. I cut down a bit on bread too, but didn't cut it out. I got many useful little tips from http://weightlossblog.googlepages.com/ as well.
on 2/28/2007 I'm a diebetic and for some time I had been in denial. Then one day an understanding doctor and his nurse gave me a reality check. He changed my prescription. He informed me that he had consulted the experts at Bethesda Hospital and was willing to help me and gave me a simple instructions. Since my bad cholesterol was way up, I needed to get on the treadmill for 30 minutes x 5 days. He needed to see my glucose during fasting 3 x week and Post meals 1-1/2 to 2 hours after meals 3 x week. I've been doing it for almost one month and the results are now showing when I went for a blood test. I now fit into my smart casual pants which I didn't fit a month ago. My body is now telling me to walk each day 30 minutes. After the walk, I feel like a million bucks! Anyone who is not doing good with their diebetics, follow the instructions above and follow your pill intake as prescribed by your doctor and walk at least 1/2 hour each day 5 days/week. Good Luck!! on 9/11/2006 It takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to send the signal to your brain telling you that your full. Slow down, enjoy the meal. Talk with a friend while your eating. Don't just eat because it's on your plate!
on 8/16/2006 a) Drink nothing besides water or calorie free beverages. b) Don't eat after 7 p.m. c) Always eat breakfast to get your metabolism going and eat several healthy mini-meals as opposed to 2 or 3 big ones. d) Drink green tea. Helps metabolism. e) Exercise daily and build muscle. f) Eat sensibly. Lots of produce and fiber, but keep a balanced low-fat diet. Or go vegan.
on 8/14/2006 Keep a journal to record everything you eat, including beverages. You can use a manual system, like a spiral notebook or a spreadsheet or Word document, on your computer. You will be less likely to eat junk food if you know you have to write it down.
