Using the word, diet, is a no-no. Instead, use the phrase, healthy way of living. Eat for good health and energy. Find something fun to do every day that will burn calories. Drink lots of water. Learn to handle stress better.

It is not only what you eat and exercise - walking is excellent; you don't need to join a gym - but the amount you eat. You should only eat what is called a serving size. And that is for everything that goes into your mouth!

If the word, diet, intimidates you, choose the phrase, Weight Loss Quest. Then rethink your "bad" eating habits and think of the "good" ones. Don't totally deprive yourself of a favorite thing. When you want it, eat it, but in a small portion.

Chronic undereating leads to both a low metabolism and energy so low you cannot sustain effective exercise. Get an appropriate, customized exercise program. If you don't have enough energy to complete it, eat more! (Healthy stuff.)

A friend told me about the Total Gym, which is great for strength, cardiovascular and flexibility training. I bought one for my home from totalgymexpress.com and it even came with free training. I can get an entire workout done in 10 minutes!

Park a little further away from businesses and work. Walking those extra feet day after day will begin to add up after a while. Remember, every little bit counts!

My mom was seriously ill for a while a couple of months ago and we got (literally) 60 to 70 pounds of various fruits. It was great, because I took an apple to school with me every day and for a snack, and I became visibly thinner!

Don't drink soda! It just makes you thirstier and, if you drink 2 cans a day, that's an extra 300 calories that you don't need. Stick to water instead.

I have lost three sizes and 25 pounds by only eating when I am hungry, not bored, and eating what I want. If you want the steak, eat it, but in moderation. I also have a drink when I am a little hungry and, most of the time, it takes away the hunger.

Try running about 2-3 miles every three or four days. It doesn't matter how long it takes you. And don't worry about what people think. Combine this with a low-fat, low-calorie diet and it is a start!
