On September 28, 1999, I, at 6'2", weighed 205 pounds. My new job took me walking 10-15 miles a day. I'm 57 years younger than I was at 205 pounds. By January 8, I was 174 pounds and still eat and drink everything I did before. Walking is the answer!

When you are eating. don't eat fast. Sometimes you feel hungry after a meal, this is because it takes 5 to 10 minutes for your body to register that you have eaten. Take your time, and at the end of the meal you won't be hungry again.

Everybody knows it, but very few do it - drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Always carry a water bottle. Chewing more slowly and even counting how many times you chew before you swallow is also helpful.

Try to tell yourself you're not "on" a diet. "On" can mean you will also go "off" the diet. Instead, just try to eat healthfully day by day.

When I'm tempted to buy something like a cream cake, I just remind myself that in a few minutes it will be only a memory. So I remember the last one I had instead - which was weeks ago. It works for me !

Yes, the result was really fantastic. I joined a dance group and, after a week, I lost 5 pounds, which is really amazing. So ever since, I kept joining and I can do a lot of steps. By the way, the music is Jazz. Try it and you won't regret it.
