on 11/22/2005 Always have a motivation. A motivation I have found to work with me is FEAR - fear that no one will like me or no one will go out with me. That will get you to your goal. Just work hard at it and keep saying, I can do it; is this little cookie worth it?

on 11/22/2005 Clean your teeth every time you drink or eat anything, even the kids' leftover scraps. You will soon get sick of seeing your reflection in the mirror 18-19 times per day.

on 11/22/2005 If you have decided to lose weight, be serious about it. Be DISCIPLINED - I believe it is a main factor in this matter. I went from 210 to 170 and I'm going for 40 more! But the main point here is that I'm committed to do it!

on 11/22/2005 Drink diet soda. The calories add up when you continue to drink regular soda.

on 11/22/2005 Drink a glass of water before you eat. It will fill you up and you won't eat as much. It worked great for me.

on 11/22/2005 I'm a wrestler and I have to keep my weight down for tournaments and stuff. The best way I found was a lot of exercise and tons of water!! Like 5-10 glasses a day ... You might get sick of water but just imagine it as something else!

on 11/22/2005 Most snacks and other pre-packaged foods have caloric and serving size info on the labels. Place one-serving-size portions in zip lock bags when you bring them home from the store. You'll always have a handy snack without worrying about portions.

on 11/22/2005 Restaurants overfeed us. Order appetizers with soup or a house salad. If it is still too much, put some in a take-out container, toss the rest, or split with a friend. In delis, get the smaller containers - you'll eat less food and save money.

on 11/22/2005 First off, drinking water will fill you up longer and you'll be less likely to reach for those liquid calories; and second, it's now been proven that you need both water and vitamins to burn fat.

on 11/22/2005 When you get the urge to run for all those junk foods, try just having some jelly beans. They're a candy, but not high on calories.

on 11/22/2005 For me, what worked best was shrinking my appetite before and while losing weight. I did this by drinking two glasses of water and eating a piece of bread before every meal. It really helped me!

on 11/22/2005 Listen to music that makes you wanna get up and dance. If you work with a computer at work, take CDs and a pair of headphones and just rock out at your desk. It is tons of fun and great exercise. Keep moving!
