on 10/15/2008 Well that's great Alisiane! And although GLD hasn't gone up a lot, investing in Gold has certainly helped people not lose money that they surely would have had they invested in stocks.
on 10/15/2008 I invested in the stock you mentioned (GLD) late last year, and though I don't have hundreds (or even tens) of thousands to invest, it has been very good to me. I started on Share builder - which lets you buy even portions of shares, and it was a really good way to dip my toes in the investing waters and get a hands on understand of investing, all while investing $10 here, $5 there, etc. Good article.
