on 3/6/2010 Wonderful! I tried the plunger, and it worked immediately. Saved me a service call.

on 2/27/2010 Thanks to everyone for taking the time to write their tips, especially the person who wrote about the "safety" and the red button, as now I knew what I was trying to do! I was able to revive my garbage disposal myself this morning! I used the allen wrench.

on 2/26/2010 this is wonderful, saved my day

on 2/9/2010 Thanks, you saved me $60 bucks for the technician to come out.

on 1/16/2010 The plunger handle did the trick. I barely spun the blades and that's all it took to fix it.

on 10/16/2009 Thank you, you just saved my day.

on 10/3/2009 You rock! I couldn't find my allen wrench and going to buy one would have required me to pack up my kids and run out...but I tried the plunger handle and I'm back in business!

on 8/28/2009 worked fine with the plunger handle 1st time!

on 7/24/2009 This worked great! It did take a couple of tries, but it works now and my husband knows how to do it. Thank you.

on 7/15/2009 Worked like a charm. Seemed too easy to actually work, but it did.

on 7/11/2009 Thank you!! After 3 frustrating days with a jammed garbage disposal and no idea how to get the cherry pit out, and not wanting to call a plumber who would probably want me to buy a new disposal, I fixed it myself in 3-4 minutes! Yipppeeee....

on 7/9/2009 I figure I saved about $200 by buying the wrench for $5. It worked like a charm after spending a day with a stuck, humming disposal. Hubby was pretty impressed!

on 6/17/2009 fixed my problem! What was stuck in there was degerated black plastic from the "strainer" opening.
Took me two tries with the allen wrench...I am a 64 yr old biddy & trophy no more!
