on 11/17/2008 I always seem to burn it to the bottom... in fact I totally ruined one of my pans a couple weeks ago doing this! So it will continue to simmer for 20 minutes even with the burner off?! Never even thought of doing that! I'm going to have to try that, thanks so much for the tips! I have a 20 lb bag of rice in my kitchen and I love rice... just hated making it, lol. 5 stars

on 9/25/2008 You are absolutely right about the quality of the pan. A sturdy pan is a must for cooking rice just right, and that's the only way I will eat it. Then the kids love rice pudding made out of the left over, so we have to make extra.
