Return to article: How to Get the Best Service From a Waiter
on 11/2/2008 Great tips - I totally agree with your suggestions. My Mother used to say "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar".....or something like that :) GREAT ARTICLE!
on 10/31/2008 Excellent idea ... missnice try it... 5*
on 10/24/2008 Great ideas! Not just in restaurants, but other social situations! 5*
on 10/23/2008 Oh, this is a great article! I used to work at a cafe, & I can't tell you how grateful we all were when we had gracious people to serve. :)
on 10/14/2008 Thanks for the tips. I've never really thought about it, but how we act does affect the way waiters treat us.
on 10/2/2008 Fantastic, very original article! Nice job.
on 10/1/2008 Great tips!
on 9/25/2008 You are right Angelgirlpj, that is why I wrote back to LilacGirl explaining that clothes don't really matter. I've been to Restaurants in bluejeans and shorts and have had a good time. I only added dress nice because a lot of time when we feel good about how we look, we project a great attitude....and again, in most situations, if you look and feel good, it is projected to others, and they feel the vibe. I was trying to think of every tip in the book to have good service. Of course, no one has to go by them, this is just missnice's way of handling most cases. Thanks Dear!!
on 9/24/2008 I would hate to think my clothes make a difference in the service you'd get. Then again I don't go any place fancy so it wouldn't. I agree being polite makes a huge difference.
on 9/23/2008 This is a very detailed article, I tip really does play a part in service, thanks!
on 9/19/2008 I agree LilacGirl, It really doesn't matter what one wears, or if one cannot afford to tip that big...if the waiter is really good, she does the best she can for everybody that walks in the establishment. Thanks for sharing LilacGirl!
on 9/19/2008 Pre-Tipping is an excellent idea!
on 9/19/2008 I've worked as a waitress so I know that these are good suggestions and tips for getting good service from your waiter or waitress. In my opinion, the best servers treat everyone well, whether they are big tippers, or dressed well or not.
