on 10/23/2008 #7 is great! I had a goldfish I named Herbie the Lovefish when I lived alone in a studio. A lot of apartments don't allow pets, but everyone makes exceptions for little ones like fish.

on 9/30/2008 Well put, but remember that living alone can also become a habit that you just get used to and then when the opportunity to share your life with someone comes up the tendency may be to actually prefer solitude. That can be a danger to social creatures like us.
