on 11/22/2005 If you're changing the bag on your mower (and you don't shut it off like a normal gas powered push mower) you should turn the mower off. You are at a high risk of cutting something off, or of getting a major cut. If you have a landscaping mower, you don't have a reason for not shutting it off, it has a shut off switch on it, so you will be able to change the bag. Please, always think about this when you change the bag on your lawn mower.

on 11/22/2005 If buying a mower from a mass merchant (WalMart, Lowes, etc.), ask who does their service work.
Visit the repair center before you buy, and find out who you will be dealing with. They will probably be glad to offer advice on models.

on 5/22/2007 Watch out for mowers with low bags. The bags might drag the ground when you lift the front wheels or when turning. This will cause them to wear out sooner.

on 10/21/2007 Select only rear-wheel drive. Front-wheel drive is harder to handle on bumpy or hilly lawns lawns.
