on 5/19/2008 I used to put the icecream in after the coke - this article is probably a much better suggestion. Coke & icecream was a 'brown cow' in Zimbabwe when I was growing up. Our Cream Soda was green but I think it was called a 'spider' with ice-cream.

on 8/14/2006 To make what I call an orange cow, use orange soda and vanilla ice cream. This tastes remarkably like a Dreamsicle (orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream on a stick). Enjoy!

on 2/25/2006 At our house, when grandma asks if we want a brown cow, that means a Pepsi or Coke with ice cream, and a black cow is root beer with ice cream.

on 11/22/2005 Growing up in Chicago, root beer and ice cream was a Root Beer Float. A Black Cow was Coke and ice cream.

on 11/22/2005 A tip to making a Black Cow is to put the root beer in the glass first. Then gently drop the ice cream in and garnish to your liking. This prevents the root beer from foaming up too much and overflowing.
