on 10/24/2008 Mother brought in two baby kittens she found outside, and i knew these kittens had to have fleas since they came from outside so i used COOKING OIL, you can use any as long as it is cooking oil, then place a table spoon full of oil on a PLASTIC plate not one of your good plates you use for dinner then throw it away lol anyway if you take the flea off your pet put it in the plate of oil and it will die right before your eyes or you can put plates with oil around th house. If you have kids just make sure they dont go near the plate or your pet, and another easier and protectful way to get rid of them is to put oil all over your pet just make sure it's not close to a stove or heater you dont want your pet to roast :) trust me everyone who reads this and longs to get rid of their flea problems. you can email me at (rbrntt8222@aol.com) and tell me if it worked for you

on 10/17/2008 Before you use any flea or tick product find out if it is safe for your pet and your children. Some flea and tick treatments may contain toxic chemicals that can poison pets and harm people. Even when applied as instructed on the box! Check this list of over a hundred products to see which ones could poison your pet or harn young children:

on 9/9/2008 8 parts cleaning powder 1 part salt...sounds good but what kind of cleaning powder?

on 7/19/2008 Brewer's yeast from your local health shop is a fantastic way to make your pet less attractive to fleas. The more riddled they are with fleas, the more your pets will enjoy eating it as their bodies crave a totally natural flea defense.

on 7/11/2008 The fleas can also be killed by lightly dipping a tip of a q-tip into rubbing alcohol. Then dab the fleas on your cat with the tip with the alcohol and they'll die almost immediately. You don't need much alcohol, nor do you need to push hard.

Also, frequent vacuuming will remove the fleas on your carpet and in furniture.

Spraying your yard with a cheap dishwashing liquid will work. Put 1 cup of the soap into a hose end sprayer and spray away.

on 5/13/2008 well, i figured out how to kill the fleas on the dog,, a weekly bath using dawn dishwashing liquid kills the fleas and drives the ones that escape contact running for the pets facial area: eyes , ears and nose. it works so well that they have a tendancy to fall off dead when the pet shakes themselves dry, but many get rooted and cling to the roots of hair folicals just before they pass on. this last obsticle can be hurdled by the use of a metal pet comb. now i have to utilize the info. i got to conquest my own yard and house. NOTE: dishwashing liquid like dawn will cause dry skin if used more frequently than necessary. (QUESTION: where can we look for these chemicals that are mentioned in this artical and how much do they usually run? love to get a responseon that!)

on 11/4/2007 I have a kitten who I combed 19 fleas off of this morning; and I have 2 more cats that are in & out, consistently, and one that is an outside cat, and 1 dog. I tried the dawn thing, but still have to vacuum up the residue; will I have to launder all bedding and their blankets as well? I would like to solve this issue. Does anyone know if the chemical diazanon still is used to put on your yards to help treat the outdoors? I would really appreciate some suggestions; I am becoming inundated with these ugly little creatures and I don't like them!

on 8/22/2007 In the recipe for getting rid of fleas, it refers to "cleaning Powder". What is this?? Do you mean laundy detergent?? or something else? I want to try the recipe but don't know this term.
thanks for the clarification.
