yes im 21 and im a dancer so i can agree its had to keep my wieight on i eat alot but because im so active i burn off the calories very easily i weigh 135 and im 5'6" it healthy for me but i am curvy ive also tried the protein and calorie shake that is good also if you drink a couple shakes a day it helps you gain weight they come in all different flavors my favorite is chocolate you put it in the blender with milk and a couple scoops of some vanallia ice cream not fat free and also with the vitqmin d milk bo0t are fatty especially if you drink the shake and then lay down for bed you arent moving so the caloriens and protein from the shake mostly goes to your blood you can get it at a gnc or health food store its called met-rx mass.

sounds like good common sense and to the point advice. I'm tired of people saying "eat a cheeseburger" some people are just naturally skinny and all cheeseburgers do is clog ur arteries no matter what you weigh. I think this is the perfect balanced non-radical advice us underweight folks need.

This is definitely a "bare-bones" article. Here's a decent F.ree report that has a bit more information on eating to gain weight:

Its so easy for alot of people to say eat more calories. Eat this, eat that! Thats the problem if we could get ourselves to eat more calories, to eat this or eat that we would not be so skinny. The problem for alot of us in not, not knowing what to eat, its how to eat when your appetite is so poor you have no desire to eat or your stomach hurts when you eat gravies and sauces and ect. or your full as soon as you take a few bites.

this is good except I am such a picky eater even though I am an adult but I want to gain weight so bad I need an ehow on how to overcome pickiness as well!

with all due honesty, all you have to do is follow all the 'expert' advice in the 'diet' section of ehow. you'll put on all the weight you'll ever need and not be able to get rid of.

on 11/12/2007 Ice Cream should help anyone gain. (GeeBee87 might want to have the thyroid checked.)
