on 11/22/2005 Get the lipstick cap, and press it on the hickey, turn it in circular motions. Doing this too much will irritate your skin, so be careful! Then take some lotion and apply over the hickey, then rub with a spoon, kind of like trying to work an air bubble out of a sticker; slowly but with firm pressure. Then heat up a washcloth and hold it on your neck until you see the hickey disappear!

on 11/22/2005 We used to put a steak on black eyes to reduce the swelling, seems to be the same concept here. Preparation H, it reduces the swelling, plus it pulls the blood away from the bruise.

on 11/22/2005 I had a hickey the size of a tennis ball in the shape of Texas. It was bright purple. I tried the spoons, then toothpaste, then a comb, then an eraser, and then a very hot towel. My purple hickey turned to light pink and now is easily covered with concealer.

on 11/22/2005 1. Take an ice cube, wrap it in a napkin and press it on your hickey for about 10 minutes or until completely numb.
2. Pat the area dry and take the eraser tip of a pencil (it may sound weird) and rub the area. Press and rub in circles. About 10-15 minutes. Do this after the ice, hickeys are sometimes painful and pressing on them only increases it. If numb, there won't be pain.
3. Now, take a wash cloth and let it run under hot water for a minute. Or you can microwave the cloth for a minute or two. Apply the cloth to the hickey and let sit for about 15 minutes. If it cools off to quickly, let it run under hot water again and apply.

By this time the hickey should be a faint pink. If not keep repeating the steps. Remember: A little bit of concealer never hurts.

on 11/22/2005 I took my roommate's hairbrush, the kind with the plastic bristles that have rounded edges on them, and brushed the area for about fifteen minutes. Then I grabbed the cap from one of those generic all-blue BIC pens, and used the top of it like you would with the eraser (yeah, it hurt a little) for about five minutes - and presto!!! The hickey was totally gone, save for a small redness from my administrations. Many people said that sometimes the eraser didn't work very well, they should have used the cap from a BIC. The next morning I awoke, and the redness was gone. No one suspected a thing. So my advice is this: the next time you have to get rid of a hickey, forget the eraser and reach for the cap on your BIC.

on 11/22/2005 Get a comb. Comb over the hickey in a back and forth motion for as long as you can take the pain. Do this every 20 minutes over the next 6 hours. For the last hour, take an ice cube and rub it over the hickey in a circular motion for 30 seconds. Then apply a warm moist compress for 3 minutes. Repeat this process for the next 20- 30 minutes. The hickey will be gone, however the skin will be blotchy where the hickey was. Wait about 30 minutes and your skin will be brand new! Guaranteed!

on 11/22/2005 Just leave the hickey alone, don't mess with it! You can use ice the same night you got the hickey and a hot towel the next day. No comb, no toothbrush, don't scratch it. You don't know how your skin will react to all of this, it can be sensitive, it can make the area worse. And don't keep on touching it, some make up will do the trick to hide the hickey and time will heal it.

on 11/22/2005 I had a big hickey right above my left breast. I was going swimming with my family on an outing and had to get rid of it quick! So I read through all 107 suggestions here and formed one of my own. First begin with the toothpaste. Put a small drop, but large enough to cover it all. Then leave it for 15 minutes (this may tingle), then wipe it off. Warm a small cloth in the microwave for a quick second, but don't scorch it! Leave it on for at least 3 full minutes. Then get an eraser and turn in a circular motion. Repeat as many times as needed. I repeated for an hour and now it is completely gone!

on 11/22/2005 Remember the steps; I.D.E.A.
1. ICE - Get the affected area numb.
2. DRY - Pat the skin thoroughly dry.
3. ERASE - Use 'pencil eraser' trick.
4. ASSESS - Check over your progress.

With the pencil eraser...Starting from the center of the hickey, press the eraser firmly against your skin and twist about a 1/2 turn. When moving to the next spot, lift the eraser completely away from the skin and place for the next twist. Do not rush!

If the process becomes painful, rest as you ice the hickey before continuing. REMEMBER: Dry your skin! Starting in the center helps to dissipate the clot of ruptured capillaries. As you spiral out from the center, you may need to go back and do some touching up with the eraser.

i added a lil bit of coverup on my neck..and kaboom!!! the hickey was gone....gone in seconds!!!!!!!!!

on 11/22/2005 Take a sock and rotate it in a clockwise rotation on the hickey. Make sure you press hard. Not too hard, it will then turn into a sore.

on 11/22/2005 Crush up a form of pain relief tablet (like aspirin or paracetamol) until it forms a thin powder-like substance. Mix it with a small amount of Vaseline (or moisturizer) and apply it to the skin. Let set long enough to sink through the damaged skin. This speeds up healing time dramatically!

on 11/22/2005 I used a medium sized brush and rubbing it again the spot. It got rid of 90 percent of the redness. Then I put some ice on it for a few minutes and then Vaseline. A few hours and the hickey was gone.

on 11/22/2005 I just used a cold compress, then I let the skin warm to normal. I then put Vic's vaporub on it. The menthol reduces swelling. Also, red-eye eye drops work well, but that is only temporary.

on 11/22/2005 Go to the bathroom, get the hot water running and using a piece of cotton, simply rub the hickey until it disappears. It may take you 10-15 minutes, but at the end there is no trace. Your skin may be a little red, but that will go away in the next 10 minutes or so. Make sure the water is as hot as possible (without burning your skin).
