on 4/1/2007 RED HICKEY-I have tried everything. What worked for me was this. 1st heat up a wet washcloth. Hold it on as long as you can. When you take the cloth off immediately rub(I used the back of a toothbrush). Repeat these steps as many times as possible. It will begin to fade. The more you repeat these stepd the better it works.

on 3/15/2007 Deodorant!!! Rub anti-persperant deoderant on the hickey for about 15 minutes. Let it sit for about 20. Repeat the process as much as needed. Wash it off, cool it down with some ice. It doesn't get rid of it completely but it's a quick and easy way to eliminate it drastically!

on 2/27/2007 I needed to get rid of a hickey by 7pm and I got it around 3pm. I read all the suggestions and tried em all. The ones that really do work and make your kickey disappear before your eyes is the pencil trick and then putting ice or w/e sort of cold compress you have. For those of you who dont know... the pencil is trick is simply taking the eraser end of a pencil and twisting it back and forth until you see results. It only took me like 10-20 minutes. Then I put on on it because it was a little tender and then if you need just put some cover-up on it. Good Luck!

on 1/15/2007 mechanical toothbrush & toothpaste-okay so i had a massive hickey on my neck & i couldnt let me mom see it. So i got on this site & read tons of things.. I put some toothpaste on my mechanical toothbrush & turned it on & "brushed" my hickey with it for a couple of minutes & then just let the toothpaste dry & then went back & did it again. IT DOES NOT GO AWAY! BUT it made it alot less noticable!! ;)

on 1/7/2007 Yeah so i dont know about you but i have a really light color so everything shows up easy! So i had this hickey and i needed to cover it! As soon as you know it's there ir even the next day you need to apply heat! I took a towel and wet it and microwaved it for 2 mins...it was really ot at first but i still put it on! Then i took bengay and let it sit for awhile then i took my finger and rubbed it hard in all directions...then ice it! I didnt see mine until the next day and I tried all those things in an hour and then the next morning it was gone!

on 12/18/2006 Don't Freak Out!-I had less then 24 hours to get rid of the hicky on my neck that was the size of a golf ball and very dark.I Found This The Best Way! Usein A washcloth wet it. And put it in the macrowave! Making it as hot as You could stand. Press and hold the warm/hot washclothe to the hicky hold itthere intell it cools down! Does this about 4 time and it will lightin it A LOT!

on 11/26/2006 I just tried this like, 15 minutes ago, and it worked really fast, amazingly fast! My hickey is completely gone. In under 20 minutes!
I ran a cloth under hot hot water, rung it out and pressed it against the hickey until the cloth wasnt very warm anymore, then took a comb and brushed it up and down for like 1 minute, then did this one more time, then put an ice cube in water for a second, and rubbed it in a circular motion then combed it again, then put a hot cloth on again, then combed it once more, then rubbed the icecube in a circular motion one last time, patted it dry. I then put a tad bit of toothpaste on it to cool it off. And it is completely gone

on 11/6/2006 Desperate times call for desperate measures. You maynot have all of the items, but it got rid of my "purple" hickey in 3 hours flat. Ice for 20 minutes straight, rub in a mixture of tea tree, peppermint & rosemary oil. Dissolve asprin & grapeseed extract & make into a paste, apply & let dry. Rinse, re-ice and moisturize. Its alot but it worked for me.

on 8/8/2006 Take some ice, put it in a paper towel (so it's not too cold) and put it on the hickey. Use a rubbing or twisting motion, and do this for a couple of minutes.
Do either the toothpaste or the Chapstick method (put the medium on the hickey and on the cap, and use it to rub) this is just so that it doesn't irritate the skin. They both do the same thing, but I alternated, just in case. Do this for a while.

Put a towel under some water, and then heat it in the microwave for around a minute (wait for it to cool slightly) and put it on the hickey. You can also put the towel on the area, and use a tube of Chapstick to rub through the towel onto the mark.

Use a round brush and twist it on the mark for a couple of minutes.

I did all of those, basically alternating between them, although I think doing just one will work if you do it long enough. All you're doing is trying to get the busted capillary blood away from the skin surface, which is what a bruise is.

on 8/8/2006 I tried the hot compress and toothpaste, but neither really showed a lot of improvement. I also used the toothbrush, which did help with blood circulation, but again didn't do too much. The best method that I found is putting ice on it and then rubbing it with a spoon. It helped decrease it the most.
