on 3/11/2008 Sounds like a good plan Carmen ! Save me about a gallon or so. Love Amy
on 6/29/2007 Make It Creative!-make your lemonade stand look eye popping and creative by tying balloons to table legs or the back of chairs. Another tip is to sell yummy treats like cookies or popsicles - (make sure to put them in a cooler!) You can also cut a coin slot in the lid of a coffe can and write "Tips Greatly Appreciated" or some other message on it-a GREAT way to collect some spare quarters and dimes!!!
on 8/18/2006 As always, work with a friend. It also helps if you are doing a live commercial. Have a friend go somewhere that is a little away from the stand. Make sure they have a jump rope, bike, etc. Then have that person come across your lemonade stand. Then, have them take out (the amount of money you are charging for lemonade) out of their pocket. Have them 'buy' some lemonade. While they are drinking it have them nodding and having a thumbs up. Make sure a car is driving by. That way, people will think that they lemonade is very good.
on 8/8/2006 If your stand is in your yard near plants, make sure there are no bees or other bugs around. Bugs might get in the lemonade and bees are attracted to the color yellow; so watch out for these stingers.
on 8/8/2006 It helps with business to have a little brother or sister out with you for the cuteness factor. Sometimes little kids tend to shout "Nemonade!" One day my 5 year old cousin was wearing his Buzz Lightyear costume and someone gave us $7 for a small cup because he was so cute.
on 8/6/2006 If you are using an umbrella for shade, make sure there is a shady spot for your customer to stand in.
on 7/10/2006 Put a slice of lemon into ice cubes that are made of lemonade, or put a slice on the rim of the cup.
on 6/30/2006 If it is a nice day, and your neighbors are having garage sales, this is an ideal time to set-up your stand because the traffic will already be there. Be sure to put your stand in an easy to see location. Have lots of change ready to go. Don't charge more than 25 cents for lemonade, otherwise people will not want it. If you charge 25 cents, you will get tips from some people.Have slices of lemons to put in the cup with the ice. Do not use too much ice, unless the customer requests extra, otherwise they do not get much lemonade.Don't spell LEMONADE STAND with backward letters. This is not cute, it is stupid. If you are old enough to run a stand, you are old enough to spell correctly.Make lemonade ice the night before to put into your lemonade jug (put lemonade in ice trays). This way the lemonade that you sell stays cold, and does not become watered down.Have fun! Make some friends, meet some neighbors!

on 3/18/2006 A fun idea is to challenge the kids down the street to a Lemonade selling contest. The one team who earns the most money wins, it can be a small prize, or just the glory of winning. All the money raised can be donated to your school, or a charity.- Teams can be boys against girl etc.- Make sure you are at least a block apart.- Also, be a step ahead and prepare early!
on 12/16/2005 Being friendly will give your customers satisfaction and they might tell their friends what a great stall you have. Also, maybe you could sell balloons for little kids of even give them out for free!
on 11/22/2005 Make a mobile lemonade stand. It will bring some more customers to your stand.
on 11/22/2005 Playing the game The Lemonade Stand is great practice if you are going to set up a lemonade stand. Through that game, I have learned how much we should spend on supplies.
