If you have a piece of meat that is tough, just place it on top of a Papaya leaf and cover with another leaf. Leave it for a couple of hours, then cook. Do not leave it too long as the meat will fall to pieces.

Cut the top from a mature yet unripened Papaya (one that has been knocked down by the storm) scoop out the seeds and fill with ground beef or pork, mixed with chopped and grated vegetables. Replace the top. Place in moderate heated oven and bake until fruit is soft. Slice in wedges and serve.

Boil together ground beef and a couple of drops of Papaya sap to make a delicious invalid beef tea. The beef breaks down into small strands and releases the taste to the water.

Eat a papaya, the papain in the papaya helps control the excessive acid in your stomach. Just wash it, cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, then eat it out of it's skin with a spoon. It's good just the way it is, and it's good for you!

Peel and separate papaya into 2-square-inch chunks and freeze it. When you want to marinate a tough cut of beef (or any other meat), thaw a chunk of papaya, mash it, and add it to the marinade for the meat you are marinating. Marinate for at least 24 hours. Don't wait too long, or the meat will be too tender.

Wash the papaya under running water, cut the stem region without reaching the inner core, and start peeling with a potato peeler lengthwise. Cut it into halves, remove the seeds and make cubes. It tastes great with a little bit of lemon and salt added.
