If you have chapped lips and are willing to spend a little cash to indulge your pucker, try Mary Kay Lip Mask. It works like a charm. I'm not even a Mary Kay consultant, cross my heart!

Use lip balm, Vaseline, Chapstick, (whatever is most helpful for you) at night just before you go to sleep. By morning you will see and feel the difference!

I use it every time I get a cut or I have chapped lips. I heal slower than snails, and I get chapped above and below my lips, so I always have a tube in stock.

To prevent chaped lips keep a stick of chapstick in every coat pocket, one in your purse, and one beside your makeup bag so you remember to put it in your pocket in the morning. And since it's there, use it often.

I have had a bad case of severely chapped lips for about 5 months. An Internet search showed a fungus, Candida, may be responsible. I found an herbal remedy, neem extract (which is antifungal and antibacterial) that has just about cleared it up after 5 days. I used this alcohol extract several times a day. It is available several places on the web.

As a brass musician, the only thing I've found to cure my overused, chapped lips is A&D Diaper Ointment. It may not taste great, but it really does the trick.

I recommend that you try the Satin Lips set by Mary Kay. It's a treatment for your lips that first exfoliates them, and then you put the balm on. It's really great because your lips are softer than if you used petroleum jelly, and it stays on for hours.

I use the gel out of vitamin E capsules and it has worked wonders! It heals chapped lips overnight!

I had severely chapped lips a few weeks ago, and I treated them with one basic product, ChapStick. Apply a liberal amount every 15 minutes or so. When you first notice that your lips are drying, feel free to apply the ChapStick. Don't forget to dab some around the corners of your mouth and the skin around your lips. Do not apply lip gloss or lipstick to severely chapped lips!

Try using a lip balm without petroleum products in them. These products are not moisturizing, but rather suffocating to the skin. A product with natural ingredients such as shae butter is best.

Petroleum jelly is not the safest thing to use. In case of a fire, the jelly will burn, causing your lips to burn in the flames.

Rub chapped lips with a wet washcloth. Apply Chapstick or lip balm to your lips. You'll get smooth lips!

A slight variation on an above tip: Coat your lips in Vaseline and use an *old* toothbrush to gently brush away dead skin. Then wipe off the Vaseline and the dead cells with it. Smooth on your favorite Chapstick or balm, or a little more Vaseline. Don't do it too often - or it'll make your lips sore - but it's great to sort out really chapped lips.

If you suddenly start getting chapped lips, and you drink plenty of water and stay hydrated, it could be your toothpaste that's causing your chapped lips. Many brands, especially tartar control can chap your lips.

Never use petroleum jelly or Vaseline. Anything that has petroleum jelly in it will dry out your lips. The best thing to use for chapped lips is anything with Beeswax in it! Bee Kissed Beeswax Lip Balm is awesome!

Mix a little bit of chapstick and a sprinkle of granulated sugar together in the palm of your hand to form a paste. Then rub them on your lips like you would a face scrub. Then rinse off with lukewarm water. Your lips will feel new.

After I brush my teeth, I wet the toothbrush with warm water and lightly brush my lips. This brushes away the dead skin and leaves my lips soft.

Poke open a Vitamin E capsule with a pin, squeeze the capsule and spread the contents over your lips before bedtime. In the morning, your lips will feel like silk.
