Even if it's been washed and dried, there's hope! Soak clothes in hot water and 1 cup of baking soda, 1 cap of Tide and 2 cups of Spray Nine cleaner for about an hour. Spray Nine is the best cleaner for anything! It just salvaged a whole load of whites and lights. The stains are all gone!

To remove ink from cotton clothes, even when they have been washed and dried several times, use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip. Just dip the Q-tip in alcohol and scrub over the ink until it's gone, rinse and then wash and dry.

I just tried a little nail polish remover to take ballpoint pen ink out of a white sheet. It worked beautifully -- no scrubbing required! I haven't tried it on colored fabric, so take care.

I found that Non Acetone professional nail polish remover worked even faster than the hand sanitizer. It's ingredients include ethyl, methyl, and isopropyl alcohol. I had gotten a dark purple Sharpie stain on a shirt that was not white - so I could not use bleach. I just kept blotting the fabric, using a new piece of paper towel every now and then to absorb the stain coming through.

You can remove ink and leaked felt tip pen from fabric even if it has been left to dry on (although then you need to be persistent). Soak the stain with full cream milk, changing the milk when the first flood of ink has colored it, and further times until the stain has completely gone. It can get to be a bit of a smelly job if the stain has dried on, as this can take several days. Do not be tempted to rinse the fabric with water. This method will not work on fabric previously treated to remove the stain, or if the fabric has been washed in an attempt to remove stain.

It sounds crazy but it works. 1. Fill a container with milk 2. Put the ink stained item in the container, make sure the item is soaked overnight. 3. Wash the item as you normally would.

Put Vaseline on the ink spot. Put hair spray on a soft cloth until damp. Using the cloth, lightly rub the ink spot. This should take the ink right off. But be careful, it may also take some of the color out of the item. This worked like a miracle on my new pink leather jacket.

After reading tips about using alcohol, I noticed that I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer with me most of the time. Looking at the label, it is 62% ethyl alcohol. The stain is gone!

I have had to do this many times, and it always works. Take milk and pour it onto the pen mark, let soak for a minute, and then rub as if you were using "Shout." The pen mark will disappear. After that, wash as usual.

To remove ink from fabric, just spray hair spray on the spot and rub it with a dry cloth. When the ink is gone, then clean with soap and water. It works great!

I did not have the opportunity to take care of a huge red wine stain on my brand new Tommy Bahamas dress. So, the stain had set in a bit by the time I started to work on it. What finally worked was using a mixture of dish soap and hydrogen peroxide and working it into the stain when the fabric was dry.

I have these whit egyption cotton sheets I love, and being the klutz I am, I knew one day I would get something on them. Sure enough not a week later I set down my red Sharpie pen and a big red circle appeared on my sheets. I tried everything, and 10 min later it was gone. First i soaked the stain in pure bleach, then sprayed it with half a bottle of hairspray blotting with a towel. This really worked, so if anyone has a similar problem, don't freak out, this actually works.

If the fabric is white, mix 1/2 part bleach to 1/2 part water. Use a sponge or rag under the stain. Use another sponge or rag (I like to use a sponge paint brush) to dip into the solution and apply directly to ink stain. Let sit a minute or two and wash in hot water. If you happen to wash/dry an ink pen and it's exploded all over everything, fill sink or tub with water and add a cup of bleach, stir around and soak items in the mixture. This is best used on light clothing, but if the item is ruined anyway, it's worth a try.

on 11/22/2005 Squirt a small amount of hair spray on your ink stain, and quickly blot with a tissue. Wash the article of clothing as soon as possible.
