UGH! I have treated my cat and dog with Frontline Plus. Apparently it does not work!!! because I have noticed that I have been bitten on my feet and ankles several places!!! UGH!
Is there another product that DOES WORK? Should I reapply the Frontline top spot stuff? It has only been 3 weeks since the last application....

I babysit a couple little kids that I am pretty sure have fleas and now I have fleas in my house and I don't even have pets! I was recently at their house and their pets are covered with them! I know they have to have them too as they have always complained of itching. (this now makes sense being at their house) So now I have a flea problem and my 2yr old daughter is getting bit up, because they always play in her room. What do I do? As long as the kids are in my house they are just going to coninue to bring them in, you can't put a flea collar on chidren. How do I tell their parents that they are infesting my house with bugs? This also worries me because I have my baby in the house. I am afraid to lay him down on the floor to play anymore.

The best thing to do is get frontline. This is for fleas and ticks. it is a little pricy, but it will get rid of them. Bathing youe pet often is not good for there coat at all.

Bathing pets every week is not good for the coat. The best way to prevent fleas is to use frontline. The tubes in the stores OTC are not any good. it is a little pricy, but if you are going to have pets you need to get the best for them.

Many flea-elimination products are neuro-toxins. If you plan on using them, be very cautious in handling and use, especially around young children. Do a little research before plunging in. They AREN'T harmless.

I have a large puppy dog now, but I used to foster kittens. Advantage, is one of the best anti-flea products on the market. I know this because I have seen Vet's use this on under age kittens that were loaded with fleas! WARNING DO NOT EVER APPLY ADVANTAGE ON A UNDER AGE ANIMAL UNLESS YOU ARE A LICENSE VET!!!!!!!!!! You do have to be careful with other products as well, like Dawn soap. It is known to work well with oil spills and stuff on birds, but why risk any harm to your beloved pet? That is just stupid! Garlic does help some, I have used it when money has been tight, but nothing works as well as items like Advantage.

I have a large dog right now, but I used to foster kittens in the past. Advantage is always the best anti-flea product out there. I have seen Vet's put just a dab on a newborn kitten that was loaded with fleas, please note a Vet applied the medication for a kitten under the age requirement. No one should treat their baby animals under age with a flea product, only a Vet should do this if they deem it necessary!

I learned how to get rid of fleas from the house years ago and it works! Fill a small saucer or bowl with water and add several drops of dish soap to the water. Hang a small night light directly above the water.(I used a wire coat hanger to fashion a hanger.) The fleas will jump towards the heat of the nightlight, fall into the water and drown. The soap in the water reduces the surface tension and the fleas sink to the bottom and drown.

a tried and true natural remedy to rid carpeting from fleas is to vacuum all carpet areas under couches and get crevices too. Using a box of 20 Mule Team Borax sprinkle generously into the carpet areas under couches recliners too. Now the hard part. Let this sit in your carpet for 3 weeks. Okay to top bissel just not vacuum. Vacuum up after the 3 weeks making sure to toss the bag or empty dirt cup. It does not give you that stinky bug spray smell and it kills the fleas as they walk on the borax crystals and the baby fleas. I recommend vacuuming more than once. It also seems to "freshen up" the carpet. The borax I had was clumped so I just poured it into a strainer or a sifter and just shook it about.
