Actually new studies have come out in America that says circumcision DOES NOT reduces a males risk of HIV infection. Most of those studies where done in Africa, also some of those studies showed that circumcised males had a greater risk of HIV infections then non circumcised males.
The best way to protect from STD is to use a condom. Also it takes 100 circumcises to prevent one baby from getting Urinary tract infections. Also girls get UTIs more than males do. Also a non circumcised penis is no cleaner than a circumcised one.
For the first few years of life the foreskin is no retractable. It slowly becomes retractable later in childhood and sometimes later in adulthood.
Never retract your son's foreskin it can cause problems.
Teaching your son to clean himself is better then cutting off healthy sex tissue.

New studies have shown not only does circumcision help prevent against UTI's yeast infections, and eliminates odor that came come from smegma build up on an uncir. penis but its been proven that circ. also drastically reduces the risk of HIV/Aids transmission as well. Also proven that there are certain cancers that you just dont get when circumcised as a male.
Every male I have known who has had it done later in life agrees its the way to go. They are very satified with the results and their only complaint is that they werent done in infancy because the recovery is much worse as an adult and the natural look isnt acheived as easily since stitches required can create scarring where as on infants there arent any.

Circumcise is fine! I am in the medical field and know that it is cleaner than uncircumcise. At first they will be sore and mom will have to watch out closely but after leaving the hospital it is usually fine and the baby is less pron to infections and mom doesn't have to mess with it as much during the cleaning process. You don't want to have to handle a child down there alot while cleaning them. Circumcising your boy helps from having to pull the skin back and forth and also helps from getting UTI. Urinary tract infections.

If you go with an antibacterial ointment, make sure you get the ointment and not the cream. The cream is not thick enough and will quickly rub off on the diaper, leaving baby's raw skin unprotected.

It is hard to get Vaseline from a tub on a tiny baby's little penis. Instead get little packets (ketchup packet size) of Vaseline from the hospital or pharmacy and use the entire packet on the penis when you change your baby. Or use Vaseline from a tube.

on 11/22/2005 Don't circumcise your child to begin with and you won't have to worry about him bleeding, infections or applying anything to his penis.
