Great article. I tend to keep two journals. One for personal thoughts and feelings and everyday life and one for my travels, which I guess is a travel scrapbook. The personal journal I keep to myself and may one day be passed down but the travel journal is for everyone to read.
The only question I have for others is how do you date your journal? I seem to change the way I do it all the time without realising and I think it's something that should be uniform throughout every journal (in my opinion). Most of the time I go with the day, then date then year e.g. Thursday 4th December 2009.
