As for temperature, being in Singapore, the temperature is suitable for most tropical aquaria, so the article above doesn't really apply to me. The country's climate must be taken into account too. Hope i have helped :)

Hi all, I have worked in two different aquariums before, and am a aquarium hobbyist myself. What i have observed is that different specimens of the same species might behave differently in terms of temperament and feeding habits. this applies to most pets. Keep in mind that predatory fish might be territorial. Having a bigger tank would mean that each specimen will have more of their own space and won't bother the others. As for feeding, a few factors must be considered too. eg.what did the shop owner feed it before u bought it. It is true that some can be trained to eat certain foods but from my experience some would rather die than get used to eating something haha. Also, water quality might affect how the animals feed too. I had gotten on african dwarf frog and had him for about 2 weeks and then found him upside down. Everything was set in the tank, temp, food, ph. I then went and got another and had him for about 4 weeks and the same thing happened. He was fine before, eating , swimming around. I also have 1 molly and 2 guppies in my 10 gal. aquarium. Any ideas?

My Albino African clawed frog ate 3 or 4 pebbles...and I do feed him 3 times a week. I don't think he'll be able to "pass" them. Any suggestions anyone?

hi i have my african albino clawed frog for quite a few years now,and i believe this article overexaggerated.mine is in a 10 gallon tank with a goldfish.it tried to eat the fish a few times, but after a few weeks,i noticed they are now nuetral to each other.(similar to keeping a cat& dog together long enough, they stop fighting.)regular fish gravel is at the bottom, and i dont change the water often.i feed him regular reptile/anphibian pellets, and he is still healthier than most frogs of its kind that i have seen.

ok well as far as the care of the frogs, i have had mine for about 6 months and mine has not been that difficult to take care of and they are not as picky as some of the info i have read. i have mine in a 40 gal tank with a large filter and lots of gravel. Mine has not tried to eat it. Im sure if you keep your frogs fed they will have no reason to look for food.
