Very good article, I have actually took the step to upload a couple of pictures to start and have every intention of uploading more when I get the chance.

I know that with what my husband does in web design, the biggest need is for photos of people (couples, families, groups, etc). If you look on those stock photography sites long enough, you'll begin notice the same photos being used in a lot of places. Probably the 2nd most category is just everyday objects--that's kind of niche market, but if you've ever tried to look up a photo of an object there's limited selection.
