I am a disabled senior and for two weeks I got food from the food bank. the canned salmon is left from that time. I never knew how to use, thank for the information. I have two cans, I will use one for cream mix and the other for the patties. I agree with the lady who will not give it to her cat.

I like the recipes but I would never give the bones to my pet because they are delicious and a great source of calcium. I either eat them straight from the can or crush them in with the meat. I also leave in the skin because it is a good source of Omega-3s and doesn't affect the taste at all.

I like salmon so much, that I just smush the bones and skin in with the salmon for the salmon patties. The crushed crackers I use in the patties absorb the oil. The cat can eat his food dry.

Wow, this brought back memories. As a kid, my dad worked in construction. When the weather prevented him from working much, we ate A LOT of canned salmon! Great ideas that don't sound too bad!
