on 6/5/2008 Oh, how I hate the taste and smell of freezer burn!!! Thanks for the ideas.

on 6/4/2008 Thank you for the tips. This past week I have had two packages of meat that I JUST purchased start to look all freezer-burned, covered in ice crystals. And they are still in their original package! I will use your method in the future.

on 6/3/2008 I've been doing it this way for years and it really works. Saves space (more compact packages) and money

on 6/3/2008 Instead of squeezing the air out of the bag, I put my mouth up to the the small opening at the end of the sealing line and SUCK the air out. Works almost as good as a vacuum sealer machine!

on 6/3/2008 Good advice. Having to throw away food is frustrating.

on 6/3/2008 Thank you. The details reminded me somewhat of a Phil Hartman skit on SNL, but I benefited. -Larry Fike
