on 6/12/2008 Definitely 5 stars! Great article.
on 5/17/2008 Widowed with 3 tiny kids at 26, I can relate. Nicely written article. Comment to step 9: I always told my kids "I love you enough to let you hate me" meaning that I didn't have to be their friend but I did have to be their parent and it was my solemn duty to keep them safe and to teach them the importance of good morals. They are now 21, 19 and 17 and I can say they are my best friends and I expect to see us get closer and closer as they continue to grow even though that was NOT my goal. Making friendship a goal in parenthood is a huge mistake IMHO. I'm glad you covered this. 5 STARS!!!
