Good instructions. Also important for dogs with cocker-type ears: when you bathe the dog, gently stuff cotton balls into their ears to prevent excess water from entering their ear canals. Dogs with cocker-type ear flaps are highly susceptible to "swimmer's ear" (yeast infections of the ear) because the ear flap impedes drying.

With cockers, you have to get the cleaner deep in the canal and massage the base of their ear for 60 seconds; then you have to apply drying powder.

Great article. With this instructions everyone can do it. I would like to recommend a professional pet ear cleaner, visit: http://www.Oxymarketplace.com , under pet products.

My vet suggested this method too. She also gave me the tip that my dog (who hates having his ears cleaned) needs extra encouragement (talking to him in a happy voice) when I am doing this, and some sort of reward after. These suggestions helped a lot too.
