on 3/29/2008 When you rid your cat of fleas you will also need to make sure that your home is flea free. You can do this easily by using a mixture of flea powder, baking soda and a little borax. Mix together in a container. Be sure to TEST A SPOT on the things you will put this on first. You can shake this on the furniture, carpets and kitty's (or Bowser's)bed and let it sit for about 15 minutes then vacuum it up. This will help to kill any fleas that travel into your home on your feet or if your pets go out and come back in. Fleas will jump onto people and into your home if you go out into your yard. This solution will help to rid them from your home and thus will make it easier for any treatment that you use on your pet even more effective and less costly.
